Evangelical Homes of Michigan (EHM) is a multi-faceted health and human service organization that provides health care and home based services throughout southeast Michigan. Founded in 1879, EHM is one of the largest nonprofits of its kind and one of the oldest in the state, serving more than 3,200 older adults annually.
Position Overview:
Shared Care Services, a private-duty home health care solution of Evangelical Homes of Michigan, is actively seeking to welcome new part time/contingent Home Health Aides to our expanding team, servicing the Washtenaw County and surrounding areas.
Our Home Health Aides are responsible for providing compassionate services to our home care clients while following the individual care plans, treating each client with respect and dignity, recognizing the individual needs, and encouraging independence. This includes visiting and servicing our home care clients within the comfort of their homes, which may be a private residence, or within our own Independent and Assisted Living campus or Long-Term Care facility.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Providing personal care and assistance with daily living activities for our clients
Assisting clients with meal preparation and feeding.
Reminding clients to take medication in a timely manner.
Transporting and accompanying clients to and from appointments (if applicable)
Communicating clients' status and progress.
ProvidingEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
