Description:
This position is a key advisory and implementation role. The individual will contribute to the development of global payroll and be influential in establishing policy, analyzing and streamlining processes and managing and directing various teams toward affecting that strategy with the resulting savings.
The major job duties are:
1) Work with Regional Shared Services Operations Managers, senior management and other personnel to identify, plan for, and develop strategies, services and activities to support current and future customer needs.
2) Utilize Six Sigma methodologies to define measure, analyze and implement improved payroll processes.
3) Work with the Regional Shared Services Centers and IS resources to make sure payroll processes are consistent globally. The goal is to establish efficient, improved, standard, consistent and low cost processes to deliver financial transaction processing and management information.
4) Shared Services Payroll Managers report into this Global Process Owner role on a dotted line basis.
5) Identify gaps in existing policies and procedures and implement improvements within the different payroll processes at the Shared Service Centers. Implement global best payroll practices in shared services.
6) Assist with the development and implementation of a robust, global SOX and audit environment for the Shared Services Organization. This includes implementing any necessary monitoring processes to ensure compliance with Sarbanes Oxley, regional legal requirements, US and Local GAAP and International Accounting Standards
7) Help ensure that all controls, policies, and activities within the Global SSO are consistent with its mission.
8) Manage Payroll system implementations in Europe and other regions in the future.
9) Monitor performance across the organization.
10) Ensure all activities are conducted consistent with the highest legal and ethical standards and compliant with all applicable government and corporate laws and regulations.
Experience and Skill Requirements:
Previous Project Management Leadership experience dealing with significant change management
Multi-cultural business experience & experience with Payroll Shared Services processes
Experienced and knowledgeable in PeopleSoft HR and/or SAP HR
Experienced with Senior Management communications and interactions
Strong analytical skills and excellent organization and planning skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills and excellent interpersonal, leadership & management skills
Ability to champion unpopular positions and influence outcomes in a constructive manner
Long-term, strategically minded - able to develop and implement global Strategies related to improving the subject areas
Knowledgeable of Sarbanes-Oxley controls
Languages: Fluent in English - written and oral Mandarin, Polish, Spanish, Italian, French or German - a plus
6 years of progressive experience in payroll processes
Proficient in MicroSoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
Shared Services experience, preferred
Lean Six Sigma experience and/or certification is preferred

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
