Position Overview:
As the Material Planning and Logistics Manager, you will be responsible for orchestrating the seamless movement of materials, parts, and components required for the production of our high-performance electric motorsYour strategic thinking, attention to detail, and leadership skills will ensure that our manufacturing processes remain agile, reliable, and aligned with our commitment to quality and timely delivery.
Responsibilities:
Material Planning Strategy:
Develop and implement a comprehensive material planning strategy that optimizes inventory levels, lead times, and supplier performance while minimizing costs and maintaining a lean operation.
Supplier Relationship Management:
Foster strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating agreements, contracts, and terms to ensure reliable material supply and continuous improvement.
Demand Forecasting:
Collaborate with sales, engineering, and production teams to gather accurate demand forecasts, translating them into actionable material requirements.
Inventory Management:
Maintain optimum inventory levels, implementing efficient replenishment strategies to prevent stockouts and minimize excess inventory.
Logistics Coordination:
Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics activities, including transportation, customs clearance, and distribution, to ensure timely delivery of materials and components.
Quality Control:
Collaborate with quality assurance teams to establish and maintain strict quality control standards for incoming materials, verifying compliance with specifications.
Process Optimization:
Continuously assess and refine material planning and logistics processes, implementing best practices and utilizing technological tools to enhance efficiency.
Risk Management:
Identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop contingency plans to mitigate disruptions, ensuring continuity of production.
Team Leadership:
Manage a team of material planners, logistics coordinators, and warehouse personnel, providing guidance, training, and mentorship.
Reporting and Analysis:
Generate reports and analyze key performance indicators related to material planning and logistics, presenting insights and recommendations to senior management.
Sustainability:
Contribute to the company's sustainability goals by optimizing transportation routes, reducing waste, and exploring eco-friendly logistics options.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related fieldMaster's degree is a plus.
Proven experience (5
years) in material planning, procurement, and logistics management within the automotive or manufacturing industry.
Deep understanding of supply chain dynamics, demand forecasting, and inventory control principles.
Familiarity with electric motor components and automotive industry standards is advantageous.
Strong negotiation and communication skills for effective supplier relationship management.
Proficiency in supply chain management software, ERP systems, and data analysis tools.
Leadership skills to guide and develop a high-performing team.
