Product Development Project Coordinator

The Product Development Project Coordinator will join a growing team of Engineering and Health & Safety professionals helping our customers reduce their work-related risk to quality, productivity and employee health.
Successful candidates will have the following attributes:
Working knowledge of project management methodologies, including:
scope management, schedule development & integration, risk management, stakeholder management, issue & action item management, cost management Experience with automotive vehicle development, major vehicle and powertrain components, and commercial vehicles Ability to establish priorities, work both independently and in team settings PMI certification (e.
g.
PMP ) preferred Self-starter with a detail-oriented team player approach A professional manner with excellent organizational and communication skills and ability to establish working with product development stakeholders Adept at directing cross-functional team meetings -o Concisely capture key discussion points, decisions and action itemso Update project document real timeo Ensure effective communication flow among project team members RESPONSIBILITIES Organize and conduct project team cross-functional meetings and workshops, including documentation of meeting minutes and action items Document and maintain project assumptions, risks, issues, and action items Prepare project status reports, presentations, metrics, and visual management boards Provide examples / insights into automotive project management best practices Manage project conflicts and escalations Ensure visibility and consistent understanding of program content at system and component level, coordinated with running product changes Coordinate development, review and approval of project plans and schedules Requirements 3 - 5 years experience with Engineering Planning for new product programs Knowledge of automotive product development processes (Daimler MDS, CVDS:
GM GVDP; Ford GPDS; VW PEP) B.
