POSITION PURPOSEResponsible for providing subject matter expertise and change leadership support on Talent Management and Career Enrichment (TMCE) program philosophy, processes and delivery across Trinity Health, including career coaching and development, talent reviews and succession management and facilitating the advancement of talent driving gender and race equity to reflect our communities and enhance representation of diverse talent at every level of the organization.
Serves as subject matter expert in establishing evidence-based processes and tools as well as facilitating the implementation of such work with HR practitioners and senior level executives at Trinity Health.
Partners with leaders to understand business strategies and priorities, uncover macro talent management related trends, and to innovate the design and delivery of aligned TMCE processes and programs.
Guides and advises other HR professionals across Trinity Health in applying these concepts to their local work.
Proactively supports establishment of outcome goals and measures that demonstrate the value of TMCE.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSKnows, understands, incorporates, and demonstrates the Trinity Health Mission, Vision, and Values in behaviors, practices, and decisions.
Consults and engages operationally on the development and implementation of best practice evidence-based processes and tools for defining and validating TMCE standards, policies and approaches based on established philosophy and strategies, including (but not limited to) talent analysis, identifying critical positions, calibrating talent, socializing talent decisions, facilitating movement of talent, and supporting strategic plan talent needs.
Serves as subject matter expert and lead facilitator for purposes of designing and implementing evidence-based processes and tools for TMCE, including leadership and professional career development, and for facilitating related implementations across Trinity Health.
Responsible for ensuring practitioner certifications, vendor and service partner selections, database management, tool selection and alignment to best TMCE practices, reporting and implementation.
Provides expertise on service partner analyses, and resultant advisory and recommendations that improve performance and effectiveness through assessment strategy, resources, metrics and implementation.
Consults and engages operationally on the development and implementation of a system-wide career coaching program; including developing coaching methodologies and operational processes and tools.
Provides and administers internal coaching practice expertise; and facilitates external vendor service partner practice selection.
Develops program structure (policies, procedures, metrics) and integrates with TMCE programs to ensure support of leadership and professional career development processes.
Provides thought leadership and advisory expertise on career development programs, including Tuition Reimbursement, which includes coordinating and collaborating with operational partners and establishing policy and processes in alignment with goals supporting Trinity Health strategic priorities centered around colleague engagement and career enrichment.
Coordinates the Administrative Fellows program.
Coordinates the establishment of associated policies and processes; and facilitates the annual program components, including recruitment, interviews, selection, orientation, mentoring and training, tracking and program evaluation metrics.
Assists in the development and deployment of Trinity Health mentoring, job shadowing, and other related career development programs supporting strategic career enrichment and talent management.
Utilizes and facilitates the integration of TMCE methodologies and priorities with corollary functional work such as strategic planning, diversity and inclusion, talent acquisition, and talent development.
Works across the system to collaboratively embed system-level TMCE methodologies into local HR practices.
Consults, partners with and supports predominantly executive leaders and internal functional partners to ensure business and organizational goals are met through focused TMCE strategies.
Facilitates performance of TMCE functions in collaboration with executive leaders.
Maintains shared accountability for executive level TMCE programs through strategic alignment and day-to-day administration of these programs.
In close collaboration with HR Business Partners, brokers the talent exchange between managers seeking talent and managers of talent being sought.
Utilizes talent review data to inform recommendations about promotions, succession plans, and appropriate responses to talent development needs across the organization.
Builds TMCE related competence and commitment with other Trinity Health HR practitioners by promoting and guiding their application development, facilitating education and training activities, and fostering on-going proficiency.
Supports the research and administration of TMCE technologies and vendor relationships.
Provide subject matter expertise on incorporation of innovative ideas and cutting-edge research into practice.
Supports the development and administration of TMCE budgets in relation to vendor and tool expenditures.
Measures the efficiency, effectiveness and outcomes of TMCE programs and communicates these results to the organization.
Partners with other OE and HR professionals at Trinity Health and associated service partners to ensure colleagues have a comprehensive, positive and seamless experience with TMCE programs.
Performs other duties as needed and assigned by leader.
Maintains a working knowledge of applicable Federal, State and local laws/regulations; the Trinity Health Integrity and Compliance Program and Code of Conduct; as well as other policies and procedures in order to ensure adherence in a manner that reflects honest, ethical and professional behavior.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSBachelor's degree HR Development / Management, Organization Development, Business Administration or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Advanced degree in Industrial/Organization Psychology, Organization Development, Organization Behavior, or related behavioral sciences (Masters or Ph.
D.
) strongly preferred.
Minimum of seven (7) years of business experience overall is required; including progressively more responsible roles related to HR.
Advanced and broad working knowledge of TMCE principles, methodologies and techniques (principally succession management, career development, and coaching) strongly preferred.
Multiple individual competency related assessment and developmental planning certifications strongly preferred.
Minimum of three (3) years of health-care experience preferred.
Ability to exhibit an understanding of the health care business, including changing industry factors, that influence Trinity Health's fulfillment of its mission and how TMCE strategies, objectives and service delivery impact such success.
Strong consulting, interpersonal, collaborative, program administration, and execution skills.
Considerable experience in planning, formulating, and implementing comprehensive work plans.
Ability to define program and process goals and actions to achieve operational strategies, goals and performance measures.
Knowledge of general HR practices, laws and regulations preferred.
Ability to maintain a broad understanding and awareness of all HR programs and processes and possess knowledge of interrelationships between functions to efficiently and effectively align and deliver TMCE programs across the full range of HR services.
Strong process and program creation, administration, and continuous improvement ability.
Substantial analytical and problem-solving skills in order to independently evaluate and develop innovative and practical solutions to complex situations while applying subject matter experience.
Ability to conduct prospective modeling and retrospective analyses of trends to identify and promote meaningful responses to data, information and insights.
