Lockbox Operations Supervisor II, Check and Lockbox Services This position is responsible for supervising the Lockbox team including planning, assigning, and directing the work of the department. Also included are human resources activities and the completion of daily operational functions. The purpose of this position is to direct and supervise the execution of daily production processes (including CPA confirmations, Verifications of Deposit, bonds processing and retrieval of supporting documentation related to subpoena requests), identify opportunities to enhance or re-engineer processes to improve quality or speed, to provide customer service and reduce expenses while mitigating risks through effective controls. The legal and regulatory requirements of the Research & Subpoena Services and Internal Services business unit require the incumbent to be knowledgeable of the current laws, regulations, and industry best practices. Additionally, ensure that all functions being performed within the business unit are in compliance with all external and internal regulatory requirements. Responsibilities: The Lockbox Operations Supervisor II will: 1. Oversee staff and flow of work to ensure the work is processed accurately, efficiently and meeting all deadlines. 2. Leverage tools (scheduling, Kronos, capacity plans, etc.) to maximize delivery of products and services at the highest level of quality and efficiency. 3. Work independently, making decisions and advising staff. 4. Evaluate, submit and implement process changes that provide improvements in quality, risk management, unit costs, responsiveness and productivity. 5. Identify and document current operational processes that can result in potential risks and losses and make recommendations to management to improve procedures and controls. 6. Demonstrate an understanding of projects by communicating updates, procedural changes and training for the staff. 7. Communicate errors to employees responsible for making them and provide coaching and guidance on how to improve. 8. Motivate the team to maintain a positive and collaborative atmosphere within the group. 9. Make high risk decisions through experience and analysis. 10. Escalate risk to RSIS management and seek the guidance of Corporate Legal in certain situations. 11. Must be open, adaptable to change and maintain a positive attitude. 12. Exhibit strong verbal and written communication skills. 13. Exhibit strong problem solving skills. 14. Exhibit strong multi-tasking skills; ability to work under pressure and deadlines. 15. Have experience leveraging technology, including PC applications Outlook, Word, Excel, and Access/Databases. Travel Travel is not required of this position. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
