Current Need
We are seeking an technical system specialist with advanced troubleshooting and diagnostic skills to assist with pharmacy IT issues. Candidate must be a quick learner, able to work in a team environment and possess exceptional customer service skills.
Position Description
This position will provide Level 2 phone based technical support for external networked desktop systems. Installs, configures, and troubleshoots servers, workstations and peripherals in a heterogeneous environment. Troubleshoots operating systems, computer hardware (including peripherals), network connectivity, virus and spyware, fax application, MS Outlook, pharmacy automation, Active Directory and small domains. Communicates technical information to both technical and non-technical personnel. Recommends hardware and software solutions, including new acquisitions and upgrades. The successful applicant will possess exceptional customer service skills, be detail-oriented and take pride in quality of work while working under established SLAs.
This position is an afternoon shift with the hours of 10:30-7:00pm. This position can be located in Livonia, MI or North Druid Hills, GA
Key Responsibilities
Become Subject Matter expert in systems, hardware, and networking for 3 Pharmacy applications and 3 Point of Sale systems.
Document knowledge with appropriate troubleshooting and resolution steps
Train internal teams on technical issues
Maintain Best-In-Class Customer Service survey metrics
Prioritize workload to respond to customers in line with expectations
Minimum Requirements
2
years experience in desktop and networked systems support.
Critical Skills
Customer Service (preferably phone-based)
Technical Diagnostic skills
Solid understanding of networking and security (Active Directory)
Additional Knowledge & Skills
Windows 7, Windows Server 2008, SQL Server 2008 knowledge a plus.
Unix Environment (Linux) a plus.
Experience with Terminal Services and SQL Database a plus.
Business and technical writing experience a plus.
Must have demonstrated customer service experience preferably in a remote support setting
Leadership skills a plus
Education
Associate's/Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience
Certifications/Licensure
Microsoft A
Certification desired.
